Garcia, a 23-year-old unbeaten lightweight, has been involved in a verbal war with Alvarez, his former mentor and training partner.
Ryan Garcia resigns Canelo alvarez to defeat GGG in September Trilogy fight
.
Things reached a boiling point when KingRy predicted that Gennady would defeat Canelo at the pair's forthcoming trilogy showdown.
Alvarez retorted by claiming that the young Californian had "accomplished absolutely nothing" in boxing. Mayweather, an unbeaten star, agrees.
Floyd said to FightHype, "You see Ryan Garcia, he's first praising Canelo. Wanna learn from Canelo in Canelo’s training camp?
"Now it's all hatred. He is not my favorite. This is not what I like. He is not my favorite.
"Achieve what Canelo has done, and then talk poorly about him.
"But you don’t have to say anything bad about him anyway, because we all need our own paths and do what is best for us."
Garcia is set to face Gervonta "Tank" Davies, Mayweather's former protege.
Floyd offered Conor McGregor $157m to match him in the ring.
GGG takes on Canelo in September, as the pair meet for the third time in five year.
Alvarez was defeated by Mayweather in September 2013. He retained his WBA light-middleweight title.
Money predicts that the Mexican will be able to outlast the Kazakh, who is 40 years old.
Mayweather said, "One thing about Canelo is that he's going to step up and do what it takes." He's gonna fight.
"I can't knock on the motherf***er, because he's going to the Hall of Fame."
Eddie Hearn, the promotor, believes Canelo is likely to return for more if Garcia keeps his public jokes going.
DAZN was told by Hearn that Ryan keeps making digs at him, which Canelo will respond to. Canelo isn't interested in what he has to say.
"He is just going to tell what he feels.
"You must respect that. It was evident at the GGG press conferences."
