ANDY RUIZ JR is back on track to becoming an unlikely two-time heavyweight champion.
Ruiz, 32 was stunned by Anthony Joshua, 31 in June 2019, to win the WBA and IBF belts. However, he was defeated in the rematch six month later.

Then, he joined Canelo Alvarez’s renowned trainer Eddy Reynoso to dramatically reduce his weight.
In his May comeback fight, he beat Chris Arreola (40), and he wants to fight again in December.
SunSport lists five potential Mexican-American opponents.
Tyson Fury
It is unlikely, as Fury, 33, will fight the winner between DillianWhyte and Otto Wallin at end of month.
However, if Whyte loses and activates his right for an immediate rematch it will leave the Gypsy King without an alternative.
Ruiz, outside of Deontay wilder, who he beat for the second consecutive time, is Ruiz's biggest competitor in America.
Ruiz recently stated that "That's exactly what I'm waiting for." I have all the belts, except for the WBC. That's what I'm praying to get.
Dillian Whyte
If Whyte (32 years old) beats Wallin (30 years old), Fury will make Fury mandatory to win the WBC title. However, if Fury loses, Fury will have to fight again against Wallin.
Ruiz, however, is an alternative to either of these options.
They had been in talks to fight in 2019, but they were unable to reach an agreement. The feud has continued.
It's an exciting matchup because of Whyte's combination of speed and power.
Luis Ortiz
The 42-year-old Cuban has been long considered a potential opponent to Ruiz.
Ortiz is the most notable and skilled of all current competitors.
His two losses were against Wilder and he had previously spoken with Ruiz.
Ruiz would prefer this option over a megafight or world title challenge.
Charles Martin
American Martin, 35 years old, became famous in 2015 after he won the IBF World title, but lost it to AJ.
Since Joshua's defeat, he has lost only once in six fights and is now enjoying a bit of a renaissance.
Ruiz has an opportunity to compete again before attempting to regain the heavyweight title. Ortiz and Martin are already being considered.
Fight Hype reported that he said: "There's Charles Martin and Luis Ortiz. There are many guys who will be there for me. "I just need to keep busy and be active."
Adam Kownacki
Ruiz had in mind New York-based Pole Kownacki (32), for his return.
The contender was coming off a loss against Robert Helenius (37), and the pair recently rematched on Fury and Wilder’s undercard.
Kownacki was beaten again, meaning that Ruiz will be fighting for the title.
However, Ruiz's win would propel him back to the heavyweight division if he likes to play the dice.
