Before the new year, the American legend stated that he would be returning to the ring in an exhibit in Dubai.
Floyd Mayweather may make a comeback
In no time, Mayweather was back in Las Vegas training and sparring with rivals his age.
Claressa Shields, a woman's boxing champion, watched one of his secret sessions. She was stunned at the 44 year-old's intensity.
Shields said that Mayweather was considering a comeback and that the unbeaten icon is as sharp as ever.
SunSport spoke to her: "The way Floyd sparring, he could come back to fight anyone and that's just being true.
He's a workaholic. The dude runs five to seven miles for fun, then he'll go skating and then he'll head to the strip club.
"He will go to bed and then return to the gym. It's amazing to see the kind of fighter and person that he is.

After his win over Conor McGregor (33) in a cash-grab, Mayweather officially gave up the gloves.
The richest fighter has returned twice to the ring in exhibition bouts.
The first round was held in Tokyo on New Years Eve 2018, where it beat Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa (23), in one round.
Last June, he was overcome by YouTube star Logan Paul (26), who weighed TWO STEELE more in order to make up the skill gap.
In December, Mayweather held a press conference in which he announced that he would fight at the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah hotel HELIPAD.
Vlogger Money Kicks, real name Rashed Belhasa, was originally in negotiations to be the opponent. However, talks have ended.
Mayweather's most recent return is up in the air, but Mayweather has continued to train.
Gerald Tucker, Mayweather's head coach and assistant trainer to Shields said that Mayweather had 'fired up tremendously in the gym'.
Shields stated that Floyd has been a motivator in many of my camps. When I didn't feel like running, I used to look at his motivation videos.
"I would go on YouTube to look up Floyd Mayweather motivation videos, and see him running, talking rubbish, and jumping rope.
"To see him work and someone great working to become greater, there are not many people like that in the world.
"So, I'm glad one of the greats could be inspired by my work. It really means a lot to me."
