FLOYD MAYWEATHER remains in discussions to make a return to boxing in Dubai. He was also set to have an ex world champion on his undercard.
In December, the boxing legend announced in shock that he would be fighting at Burj Al Arab Jumeirah hotel HELIPAD.
Floyd Mayweather is still in discussions to make a return to boxing in Dubai
Later, it was revealed that Money Kicks (real name Rashed Belhasa) was his opponent at 20 years old.
Although negotiations ended in a stalemate, SunSport can confirm that Mayweather is still open to the possibility of staging a huge-money event in Dubai.
Badou Jack, a former world champion at two weight, was to be the star of the undercard.
SunSport's Jack said that everyone loves Dubai. Floyd is always there. I was actually going to be a part of that show.
"We don't know when it will happen, but we're atop Burj Al Arab’s helicopter thing.
"Everyone wants money, and everyone wants to fight for the highest honors.
"Floyd is a well-known name around the globe and people love him. Money speaks and he is the king of it all - Money Mayweather.
"I believe it's still happening, but I'm not certain. My friends are the ones doing it, as well as Floyd, who is also my friend.
We'll see what happens. We're still working on a bigger fight for ourselves right now. Nothing's been confirmed, but it's being considered."
After beating Conor McGregor (33) in the UFC, Mayweather, 45 has officially retired.
He has been back twice since then, in exhibitions against Kickboxer Tenshin Naukawa (23), and YouTuber Logan Paul (26).
Mayweather's spectacle bout against Paul, who weighed TWO STEONEmore, ended without a winner. There was no knockout.
Jack, 38, defeated Venezuelan Dervin Colina (33), in just four rounds earlier in the evening.
Like Mayweather, the former super-middleweight champion and light-heavyweight champ also owns his own promotional company.
In November, he fought his final fight at the Motospace Dubai Investment Park. He beat American Samuel Crossed (34), in just two rounds.
Jack, like Mayweather, is looking to end his boxing career in Dubai under the bright and rising lights.

He stated that he was not finished with his own career. I want to fight big, possibly in the Coca-Cola Arena or in a larger venue in Dubai.
"The plan was for Floyd'd thing to take place in Dubai. It was to take place in February. Then, a quick tune up fight would be held and then the bigger fights.
"But that has been pushed back. So we're looking at having my big fight coming up.
