Floyd Mayweather confirmed that Manny Pacquiao will be playing in a charity basketball match.

Pacquiao claimed that he fought with a torn wrist rotator cuff and called for a rematch, but it was never granted.

SunSport reported that the two were instead going to play in a charity basketball game.

Mayweather confirmed that plans are in place for a January game in the Philippines.

They will be joined by many other famous names from the basketball world.

Mayweather stated: "Me and Pacquiao, actually, I believe we're going basketball in the Philippines.

"I think it's January. We will play a bit of basketball.

"We're going out to take some guys there, we have some former NBA players as well as a few AND1 players, so it's going be interesting."

After a leaked contract earlier in the year, Mayweather's revelations are now public.

It stated that the match would take place in December and would be in Las Vegas, not the Philippines.

It stated: "We, The Undersigned, are the Main Proponents and Proponents of the Proposed "Mayweather vs Pacquiao All-Star Basketball Charity" which was held in December in Las Vegas.

After finalisation of venue availability and finalisation of event date, we will announce it as TBA.

"We all agreed on the main idea of the event, which was to bring total entertainment for the fans of basketball and boxing and to create an event that will strengthen our legacies to them.

"We also want to raise funds for our charities in time for Christmas."
