Now, he will be returning to Japan to join the MMA organization for an exhibition bout.
Mayweather will host a Las Vegas press conference to announce the event, and to reveal his opponent.
After defeating Conor McGregor (33), in ten rounds, the American icon left professional boxing.

He marked his return by defeating Nasukawa (23), in just one round.
In June 2021, Mayweather faced Logan Paul (27 year old YouTuber) and won TWO STONE.
It made it to the final eight rounds, and Paul technically won't lose.
Mayweather was last seen in the ring in May against Don Moore, his former sparring partner.
Initial plans called for the fight to take place 700ft above the sea level at a Dubai hotel HELIPAD. However, it was cancelled ONE DAY before.
It was initiated following the passing of Sheikh Khalifa (ex-President of UAE), who died at age 73.
Moore was defeated by Mayweather instead, and Mayweather confirmed that he would be fighting again in the Middle East later in Abu Dhabi.
He stated, "I will bring back another fight to the UAE this Year."
There was no opponent announced, and it is not clear if Mayweather will fight in Japan first or in the Middle East.
