Former football manager Neil Warnock has taken a light-hearted jab at boxer Tyson Fury over his recent 'retirement' from boxing.
Warnock's Retirement Saga
After stepping away from football management in 2022 following a 42-year career, Warnock made a comeback to take charge at Huddersfield just ten months later. He later retired again in the summer of 2023, with Aberdeen being his final coaching job before officially retiring from management. Despite this, he continues to work as an advisor for Torquay United.
Warnock's Playful Dig at Fury
In a social media post, Warnock humorously teased Fury about his multiple retirements, suggesting that Fury still has a few more to go to catch up with him.
Fury's Retirement Streak
Fury, who has announced his retirement from boxing four times, recently made the shocking announcement on Instagram while sitting in his car after a coffee outing. The 36-year-old boxer hinted at bidding farewell to the sport following his defeats to Oleksandr Usyk, which cost him his unbeaten record and WBC belt. By retiring, Fury would be missing out on a highly anticipated fight with Anthony Joshua.
