Former Sparring Partner Backs Joshua

In preparation for the fight, Ngannou enlisted the help of British heavyweight Darren Sealy, who stands at an impressive 6ft 9in. However, Sealy has expressed his belief that Joshua will defeat his former sparring partner.

Sealy stated, "AJ looked brilliant in his last fight with Otto Wallin. I feel that AJ will be victorious on the night."

Possible Battle of Britain

If Joshua emerges triumphant against Ngannou and Tyson Fury defeats Oleksandr Usyk, it sets the stage for a highly anticipated Battle of Britain between Joshua and Fury. Sealy has even offered his services to Joshua once again if such an opportunity arises.

"It’s a business and a sport, so you have to go where the wind blows. If the opportunity is there and Fury's the opponent or another very tall opponent, then I’ll be there," Sealy explained.

Sealy's Involvement in Ngannou's Camp

Sealy initially reached out to Ngannou's boxing coach Dewey Cooper when the crossover fight with Fury was announced. Following a press conference in London, the two sparred together, and Sealy was subsequently invited to join Ngannou's camp in Saudi Arabia.

The former sparring partner played a significant role in Ngannou's preparation, and the two spent two weeks training together. Ngannou went on to drop Fury during the fight but ultimately lost via split decision.

Reflecting on the Experience

Sealy considers himself fortunate to be a part of these historic boxing camps. He reflects on the experiences during his personal time and embraces the opportunity to be involved in such significant fights.

"I know there’s not too many people that are my height and have the privilege to be a part of these camps. So by all means, I am living up to the opportunity and the expectation," Sealy shared.
