Fury, the current champion, has formed a friendship with the British boxing icon.

Bruno did not hesitate to admit that the Gypsy King was out of his depth for his generation.

DAZN was interviewed by him. He said that he knew deep down that if he were around in his day, they would eat him for breakfast and dinner.

"I don't intend to disrespect Tyson Fury. But we're talking about an era. He lives on a different cloud than I did.

"Good luck to him. He's number one. He deserves to be number 1. He has a lot to my respect."

Deontay wilder, 33, was defeated by Fury, 33 in round 11 of their October trilogy bout.

With Anthony Joshua, 32, slated to rematch Oleksandr Uzyk, 34 after his September loss in September, an undisputed decider is not on the cards.

The WBC instead ordered Fury to defend his belt in the face of Dillian Whyte (33), Fury's long-standing rival and mandatory challenger.

Britain has not had a domestic title fight like this since Bruno's defeat to Lewis (56), in Cardiff.

Bruno, 60 years old, stated that it was a great fight and Dillian Whyte is extremely powerful. Tyson Fury can box and is very dangerous.

Dillian Whyte would not know what he has learned. It would break him. He'll fall to the floor if he [Whyte] hits Fury.

"Tyson Fury will show him some movements, and upset him. He is capable of adapting.

"If you're a southpaw, you can southpaw. If you dig deep, you can dig deep."

"He fought Deontay Wilder who was the most dangerous man on Earth, and he threw his toys out the pram."
