Hearn is absent, but Whyte will be paid well for the heavyweight dust-up.

This is due to Fury being WBC champion Fury splitting the 80/20.

Whyte, the mandatory challenger, is poised to win PS6.1m in his inaugural world title bout.

Hearn offered PS24m for the fight.

Fury, 33 years old, suggested it could be held in the UK by posting a picture on Instagram right after the purse bids.

Fury has not fought in Britain since his 2018 return to the sport after a long layoff.

As both sides continued to negotiate, the purse bids for Fury-Whyte clash were repeatedly postponed.

However, a deal was not reached and Warren won the bid.

The fight between the Brits appears set to see Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Uzyk set for a rematch in 2022's first half.

Discussions had taken place about Joshua and Whyte being allowed to step aside in order to allow Fury and Usyk to clash.

These talks ended on Thursday when Joshua and Whyte’s promoter Hearn accused Fury, accusing Fury of trying to avoid a clash against the Ukrainian.

He stated: "Anthony Joshua rose to fight Oleksandr Uzyk.

"Not, 'Hang On, I'll just post a few Instagram posts pretending that I want to fight him.

"I spoke with Alex Krassyuk [Usyk’s promoter] last evening - they believe that Tyson Fury is the one who has sealed the fight against Usyk."

Fury has won 32 professional fights and has drawn one. The only thing that drew him in 2018 was his fight against Deontay Wilder.

Two defeats have been suffered by Whyte in his professional career: against Joshua in 2015, and then against Alexander Povetkin 2020.
