GennadyGolovkin has begun training camp for the rescheduled fight against Ryota Murata
It was delayed due to coronavirus restrictions. GGG announced April as the new target date.
Golovkin, 39, shared this Instagram post: "Happy to return at training camp and see my team.
"Hope that an announcement will soon be made regarding a new date for the unification fight against Ryota Murata. It is expected that it will be in April.
"I look forward to traveling to Japan in 2022 and other BIG things."
Golovkin could be fighting Canelo Alvarez in a trio fight this year.
Canelo, 31 years old, will be returning to Canelo in May. This is one month after GGG's fight with Murata (36).
Free Bets: Get more than PS2,000 in NEW CUSTOMER DEALSPromoter Eddie Hearn, DAZN and DAZN proposed a deal that would see him challenge Dmitry Bivol (light-heavyweight), in a pair of fights.
After fighting for Bivol's WBA title in May, a trio bout with GGG would follow in September.
In 2017, the Mexican was considered fortunate to have drawn Golovkin, but he won a close rematch one year later.
He has been crowned super-middleweight champion and light-heavyweight champion since then.
To exact revenge on Canelo, Golovkin would have to fight outside the middleweight division for the first time. He could then move to super-middle.
