GENNADY GOLOVKIN will face Ryota Murata in Japan on April 9, with a trio against Canelo Alvarez following.
Although the Kazakh was supposed to face Murata in a December middleweight unification, it was cancelled due to coronavirus restrictions.

The pair will now fight in Saitama next month, where WBA and IBF titles will be unified.
Golovkin, 39 years old, stated that he was happy to finally set a date.

Murata (36 years old) has held the WBA title title since 2019, but welcoming GGG from the Far East is his biggest fight.

Canelo, 31, drew with GGG and won the rematch one year later. He recently signed a 2-fight deal with DAZN.
On May 7, he will be back to face Dmitry Bivol (31), for the WBA light heavyweight title.
A trilogy bout with Golovkin will be held in September if they win their interim fights.
