GENNADY GOLOVKIN claimed he has 'no bad blood’ with Canelo alvarez, but criticized his 'unprofessional rival' for saying the opposite.
After their thriller bouts in 2017-2018, the two will be fighting in a trio in September.
Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez drew in 2017
Canelo stepped up his fighting talk ahead of the next installment and took aim at his great opponent.
He stated that it was personal. He spoke a lot about me and he will pay."
GGG criticized Canelo's low-blow comments and asked why it took four years for Canelo to find his voice.
SunSport spoke with Golovkin: "First, there is no bad blood from mine, I'm taking it not personal."

"But, commenting on his approach, it's personal. Where has he been since our second fight?"
"Why did he attempt to accumulate such bad blood for so long?"
"That's kind of unprofessional and too low when a fighter describes how he approaches a fight that way."
Golovkin, 39, was considered unfortunate by many to be able to walk away with a draw against Canelo (31).
A year later, in their razor-thin rematch, the Kazakh lost by majority decision.
It was a tri-decider, but Canelo chose to move up in weight and become a four division champ.
Golovkin, who remained at middleweight, inherited the vacant IBF title.
On April 9, he will be back in Saitama to face Ryota Murata, 36, from Japan in a live unification bout on DAZN.
The Russian light-heavyweight title at WBA was won by Canelo against Dmity Bivol (31 year old) in Las Vegas one month later.
GGG and Golovkin are believed to have agreed to renew their rivalry. However, Golovkin declined to confirm if the pen was actually on paper.
He stated that it was premature to have a conversation, as there are too many "ifs". One fighter can beat the other fighter, and so forth.
Let's wait until May. We'll wait until our fights are over. Then we can talk and get a better understanding.
Since December 2020, when Golovkin beat 32-year-old Pole Kamil Szeremeta in seven rounds, Golovkin hasn't boxed.
He was almost ready to fight Murata a year later, but the coronavirus restrictions forced him to withdraw.
The legendary middleweight fighter is now ready to remind the entire world of his incredible power, ahead of the rescheduled date next month.
Golovkin stated: "Ofcourse, I'm always thrilled to get back into the ring and that boxing will be back."
