Gennady's coach informs Vegas of the 'robbery section' to 'prevent another theft by judges' in Canelo Trilogy

GENNADY GOLOVKIN’S coach has "noticed the Las Vegas Police Department’s robbery section" to "prevent a 3rd theft by the judges".

Johnathon Banks made the tongue-in-cheek comment ahead of GGG’s trio bout with Canelo alvarez this weekend.

Canelo, despite having won their epic rematch one year later, was considered fortunate to have a draw against the Kazakh puncher.

Banks, 32, isn't afraid that the judges might again favor the Mexican star.

He stated that he had notified Las Vegas Police Department's Robbery Division to be present at T-Mobile Arena.

"Hopefully they will be able to prevent another theft by the judges."

After Golovkin's four-year-old loss to Canelo in the majority decision, Banks replaced Abel Sanchez.

They have won four fights together since forming a partnership and are now working towards a third, and possibly final bout with Canelo.

Golovkin stated: "It's an incredible achievement to have a trio, being 40 and having arguably the most important fight in boxing. Trilogies can be amazing.

"We can see how they bring out the best in boxing. That's why boxing has such excitement and why fights like these go down in history.

It is a memory that people will remember for a long time."

Golovkin will be moving up from the 160lb weight division to reach 168lb to challenge Canelo for Canelo’s undisputed title.

GGG said that Alvarez has made a promise to retire his rival, but that he still has a lot of fight in him.

He stated, "I would love to fight in my country of Kazakhstan." I will be back in the ring, and most likely, I'll continue.
