Gennady's former trainer lists three fighters that could defeat Canelo Alvarez, including a champ with a 100% KO ratio

GENNADY GOLOVKIN claimed that Canelo Alvarez is only three of the fighters who could defeat him.

Sanchez cornered GGG twice against the Mexican star, the first ending in a controversial draw that many felt Golovkin deserved to lose in 2017. The rematch took place one year later.

Golovkin, who was once a respected coach, has since resigned and will now fight in a trio bout with Canelo in September.

Sanchez believes that the Kazakh along with David Benavidez, Artur Beterbiev and Artur Benavidez could be as strong as boxing's pound for pound champion.

FightHype spoke to him earlier this year that Beterbiev, Benavidez and a well-trained Golovkin were the only ones who could fight Canelo.

"Those are the only ones who can defeat Canelo. They are the ones who take him down. They are the only ones that can make him fearful.

Al Haymon's Premier Boxing Champions gave Canelo the opportunity to fight JermallCharlo (32), and Benavidez (25).

He chose Eddie Hearn’s two-bout agreement against Dmitry Bivol in May and then Golovkin's September deal.

Benavidez was a campaigner to fight Canelo, but instead faced David Lemieux in 2015, who was the Canadian GGG winner.

Beterbiev, 37-year-old light-heavyweight, holds the record for the sport's only champion with a 100 percent knockout rate, standing at 18-1.

Canelo decided to fight Russian Bivol, and returned to 175lb after knocking out Sergey Kovalev.
