"Grab him, rough he up, push and shove em" - This is how Anthony Joshua beat Oleksandr Usyk to win titles back

Anthony Joshua Joshua, one month after losing his three heavyweight titles is now in California trying to figure out how he can defeat Oleksandr Usyk next year.

Joshua visited selected gyms to get the advice of top fighters and trainers in America.

He visited Canelo and Eddy Reynoso as well as Virgil Hunter who managed Andre Ward's impeccable unbeaten career.

If those extraordinarily talented men cannot figure out how to beat Usyk, no one can.

We have to give credit to AJ for being humble and accepting that he was tactically brain dead when Usyk outpointed him on that terrible night at Spurs'.

Boxing trainers can be compared to Premier League football managers in that they are always under pressure and are often forced to quit when things go wrong.

Robert McCracken was Joshua's trainer from the beginning. He has been harshly criticized for not having a Plan B after Usyk took over in the early rounds.

Joshua has not yet indicated that he is going to separate from the man who helped her win Olympic gold and made her a multi-millionaire world champion.

However, there are some changes that could be made to the personnel working in his corner.

Eddie Hearn doesn't hide the fact that Joshua's performance last week was poor. He stated: "The tactics weren't right and it he underperformed -- but what?

"AJ will never forget to look at his preparation and find ways to improve it." He will bring people in if it means improving his preparation.

Joshua is 32 years old and not even Eddie Futch -- who trained five world heavyweight champions -- Smokin’ Joe Frazier (Ken Norton), Riddick Bowe, Riddick Holmes, Riddick Jones, and Trevor Berbick -- could have made a significant change to his fighting style before Usyk clashes with him again in March or April.

Before his trio battle with Tyson Fury, Malik Scott attempted to make Deontay wilder a smooth fighter.

Wilder was great behind his jab in the first two rounds, but Fury put him on the floor in round three. He quickly reverted back to his normal self -- swinging and missing with his dynamite right, leaving himself open.

Five world heavyweight champions were trained by Eddie Futch during his career.

Joshua can be restored to his reputation and vengeance over Usyk without having to be a Futch, Manny Steward or Manny Steward.

He must fight ugly and jump on Ukrainian from the beginning -- grab him, roughen him up, push him around to exhaust his superior skills, and tire him out.

Ray Arcel, New Yorker's greatest trainer, was a mentor to 20 world champions including Roberto Duran.

He died 27 years ago at the age of 94. His philosophy is still alive.

Arcel once stated that "The secret to being a good boxing trainer is to get to know the person you're training."

"I don’t care what fighter ability you have, if your attitude isn’t that of a bum in the park, I don’t care."

Although I don't know what Joshua was thinking, his mind seemed far away from White Hart Lane.
