TYSON FURY is Hafthor's favorite fighter, along with Lennox Lewis, British boxing legend.
After calling out Eddie Hall, Game of Thrones' strongman rival in May 2020, Bjornsson has been studying sweet science for more than a year.
In preparation for his match against Hall in March 2022, the actor, nicknamed "Thor", has been to three boxing shows.
They were against Steven Ward (cruiserweight), Simon Vallily (36), and Devon Larratt (46), who was heavyweight.
In an interview with SunSport Bjornsson said that England's Fury (33), and Lewis (56) are his two favourite boxers.
American heavyweight icons George Foreman (72), and Mike Tyson (55), are also included on this list.
Bjornsson also selected Canelo Alvarez (31), who is currently boxing's No1 pound-for–pound champion in four divisions.
Hall (33) was scheduled to fight him at super-heavyweight in September. However, Hall pulled out due to a biceps injury.
It gave Bjornsson (32), an additional exhibition tune-up. He won the first round and weighed a career-low 23 STONE.
This is NINE STONE, lighter then his days as a strongman competitor at 450lb.
Hall has decided against any warm-up fights, instead focusing on hard sparring and behind-closed doors bouts.
Bjornsson, Reign Total Body Fuel ambassador, supported his decision to study on the job under the lights.
He stated that he has been involved in sports all his life. However, for me, it was the best way to get better.
"This is how you learn and you can also learn from your mistakes.
"I can spar and train hard, but I compete the way that I do, it's a lot of fun. This was my third match, which gives me all the experience I could ask for.
"That's why I'm doing this, because I want as much preparation as possible before the Eddie fight.
"If I were him, I would certainly do exhibition matches and learn as quickly as possible. We don't want to lose this fight.
"He clearly wants to win against me, and I obviously want him to win against us."
"So, I believe that he is doing all he believes to be the best. He doesn't believe that exhibition matches are important, but I do, and that's okay.
"He has his ways of doing things, and I have mine."
