Deontay wilder floored Tyson Fury twice before he won their trio bout.

Wilder, 36 years old, had the WBC champion knocked down twice in round 4, but was unable close the show. He was also stopped by being floored three more times.

33-year-old Whyte promised that he would do the same as the Bronze Bomber and handed Fury, 33, a crushing defeat.

Sky Sports quoted him as saying: "Ofcourse I'll finish he. Wilder is overrated. Wilder is overrated. He can punch but can't fight.

He's athletic and rangy. His speed is great, so when he gets close to the line and hits a punch, it's hard not to be heavy-handed.

He can't box, and he cannot fight. Fury was able take him out because he is unpredictable in everything he does.

"He knocked Fury down twice. Heavy knockdowns. Fury returned and won rounds. Wilder is a freak by nature and has no technical abilities.

"If Fury is put down, I'll attack him head, body, and head.

"I don’t know what Wilder was doing. It didn't seem like he had any strategy. He was acting wild and jumping in to his range."

Whyte is the WBC 'interim" title, which makes Fury's title mandatory.

However, he filed a legal case in order to get his shot at the belt. This prevented the WBC de facto from ordering him to fight at the annual convention.

Bob Arum, Fury's US promoter, has also admitted that they would prefer to face Oleksandr Uzyk (34), in a title decider.

Anthony Joshua, 32 has already invoked his right to an instant rematch against Usyk after his September loss, leaving Whyte as the frontrunner to face Fury.

He stated: "It has been confirmed that Tyson Fury must fight me next.

"They announced it online that I was the mandatory challenger, and I'm Tyson Fury’s next fight.

"I don’t know where all this confusion came from. Because Usyk is an easier fight for him, he will fight Usyk.

"Fury was mandated to fight my twice. He requested the WBC Diamond' belt to be my opponent, but they refused. He just keeps making excuses.

"Hopefully, he doesn't have any other choice. What is he going to do about it? Toss the belt in the trash and get more money than he spent fighting Wilder.

"Obviously, he claims he is a fighter man and a man who keeps his word. But we all know that he speaks a lot of ***, so let’s see.

"He claimed he was going fight me after Wilder beat him, but then he ran off. Let's see how he does it.
