Amir Khan would like to use his rematch clause against Kellbrook

The famously difficult fight had a rematch clause.

After some reflection time in Dubai, Khan seems to be ready to take revenge.

Shalom stated on talkSPORT that he received many texts and emails over the past few days. Amir really wants the rematch.

If I'm being honest, I don't believe it will happen. As a promoter, I don't see any reason it should happen.

"I have yet to meet Amir and truly understand his point of view from both an injury and preparation perspective.

"I believe his ego is very hurt and he doesn’t want to be remembered because of that fight. I don’t think he will.

"But I believe that's where it's going from, but honestly Amir Khan wants the match."

Shalom was asked if he would try to talk Khan out of a match. Shalom replied, "Yeah. I'm going to try and make sure that he makes a rational decision."

Khan, now 35, admitted after the brutal beating that his best days were over and even doubted his love of the sport.

Brook, also 35 years old, was immediately linked to domestic blockbusters against Conor Benn Jr. and Chris Eubank Jr.

Khan was not available for a rematch, but he confirmed that he is willing to fight again.

Brook stated to Sky Sports that he could have another whooping if he wanted.

"It was so one-sided that I don't know how he can speak and bring back the table with me.

"If he'd like that rematch, I will dust them off and do it again."
