Lucy Wildheart, the tough boxer from Britain, is not afraid to take on challenges both inside and outside the boxing ring. In addition to her upcoming fight against Australian boxer Skye Nicholson, Wildheart has also been pursuing a career as a firefighter with the Chelmsford fire brigade. With her determination and resilience, she is ready to conquer both worlds.
Chasing her dreams
As she prepares for her Saturday night clash with Skye Nicholson, Lucy Wildheart has been juggling multiple responsibilities. Not only has she undergone physical and mental tests, but she has also completed interviews to join the Chelmsford fire brigade. Wildheart is determined to make her mark in both the boxing ring and the firefighting world.

A perfect week
Despite the hectic schedule, Wildheart remains focused on her goals. She has been tapering down her weight, organizing her team's fight-night kit, renovating her new home, and eagerly awaiting news about her dream job as a firefighter. With a win on the Katie Taylor vs Chantelle Cameron undercard and a call from the brigade, she hopes to turn this busy week into a perfect one.

Passion for community service
Lucy Wildheart has always had a desire to serve the community and help others. She expressed her excitement about the opportunity to join the fire brigade, stating that she has passed all the necessary physical tests and interviews. Despite the challenges she may face, Wildheart is proud to be one of the few people who have successfully passed these rigorous tests.
"It was a little bit embarrassing at the physical – where he did a bleep test and strength, speed and stamina tests all in the full uniform and kit – because somebody there recognized me and told the instructor that I was a professional boxer," Wildheart shared. "But it went well, it was tough, I can fight as low as 9st but I might have to rescue someone who weighs 16st so the tests have to be hard and I liked that and was proud to be one of the few people who passed.
"Hopefully, the call doesn’t come when I am over in Ireland, training or at a media event. But I can always call back hopefully with another big win."
Swedish boxing revolution
Lucy Wildheart is not the only Swedish boxer making waves in the boxing world. Otto Wallin, who recently became Anthony Joshua's opponent for the December 23 fight in Saudi Arabia, has also left his home country to pursue his boxing career. Wildheart believes that both she and Wallin have been underestimated as opponents, and she is confident that they can both deliver surprising upsets.

"I think he can beat Joshua, it seems such a risky opponent on only six-weeks’ notice. But I think the same about them picking me for Skye," Wildheart said. "Otto is a southpaw, he is big, strong and a clever boxer who is in a great run of form.
"I lost my last fight on points but I took it on 24hrs notice, two divisions above my usual weight, against a former world champion, so my confidence has never been higher.
"I think me and Otto have both been overlooked as easy opponents, AJ and Skye are both being backed to go on to bigger fights straight after us.
"But I really believe we can both spring big upsets and spark a massive party back in Sweden."
