GGG will be Alvarez's opponent before any possible rematch.

Bivol entered the fight as the outsider despite Alvarez's weight gain and the Russian being unbeaten.

He put on an amazing show for a stunned Las Vegas crowd as he out-jabbered and out-moved Mexican superstar.

Bivol wants to prove that he is the king of 175lbs with a rematch, even though Canelo's trilogy showdown with GennadyGolovkin put an end to it.

SunSport interviewed him: "I took the fight to show my skills to an even larger audience and fanbase.

"I understand that to gain respect you must win the fight you're not supposed to win.

"It was a great feeling to be treated as if I were a challenger in this fight. The odds were against me.

"I believed in myself right from the beginning. I worked hard to achieve this fight and victory.

"Canelo is an aggressive and strong boxer with lots of experience."

'MY GOAL IS TO BE UNDISPUTED'

Bivol wants to unify light-heavyweight and is still looking for a rematch.

He's ready to fight Artur Beterbiev and Joe Smith, who will go to war on June 18

Bivol said, "[Canelo] didn't have the right to do so, but he gave us the opportunity to fight him [again].

"I would pay him the same respect and give him the match if his team takes the rematch.

"The terms of this deal must be fair, as I had to accept his terms to get the fight the first time. It will be another fight.

"My goal was to be undisputed champion of my division.

"If it is possible and will work out, I would love to fight Artur Beterbiev vs Joe Smith.

"It would be a test for me and to prove that I am undisputed champion of the globe and the best in my particular division."

GGG will be facing Canelo in their Trilogy Showdown on September 17.

Bivol is taking some time off from the ring in order to recharge. He has ruled out a cross-over to MMA.

The WBC champ said, "I have just talked that I would like some rest and to spend some time with family, maybe even take a vacation."

"Soon, we will meet up and begin talking more business when it is time.

"I don’t believe I have the ability or skills to fight in MMA, as I am a fighter boxer."

Dana White is a great person and I admire the UFC's achievements in MMA.
