Floyd Mayweather's uncle Julio Cesar Chavez was twice defeated by Floyd Mayweather

Mayweather had a perfect 50-0 record, but had less fights than Chavez.

He twice defeated Roger Mayweather's uncle Roger Mayweather, and he named light-welterweight his favorite fighting division.

He claimed that he had won 12 rounds against the notoriously unreliable Mayweather.

ESPN quoted Chavez as saying that he would like to fight Floyd Mayweather in his prime.

"I would have beat him at 140 pounds. I would have crushed his body."

"He fought Jose Luis Castillo, a man similar to me. But Castillo didn't have the same strength as I did.

"The pushing, the bending. He would have won by unanimous decision, I believe.

Chavez retired from fighting in 2005, but he fought in an exhibition against Hector Camacho Jr. last year.

Similar to Mayweather, 45. He retired after defeating Conor McGregor (33) in 2017.

He has been to three exhibitions since then, winning in May over Don Moore in Abu Dhabi.

After retiring against Tenshin Naukawa, a featherweight kickboxer, he had his first exhibition in 2018, before facing Logan Paul, 27, last summer.

Since then, the unbeaten Hall of Famer announced that he would fight again in September in Japan against MMA star Mikuru Asakura, 29,

Chavez had called Mayweather an exhibition in November. But the American later rebuffed it.
