CHRIS EUBANK JR taunted Conor Benn, a younger catchweight competitor, that he's the real daddy.
The 32-year old Brighton middleweight will be weighed at 157lbs against the 25-yearold career welterweight.
Conor Benn and Chris Eubank Jr will face off on October 8
It will be almost 30 years since their fathers went into war again. The sale on October 8, 02 will mark a significant milestone. Eubank had won the 1990 battle.
Nigel Benn will be flying in from Australia to train and live with his son, for the mouthwatering showdown.
Eubank Jr. wants his father to be there for him, but he has not been able to find his eccentric dad since last week's second-generation battle.
Eubank claims that his seven-years of seniority and experience at top level - in domestic warfare with Billy Joe Saunders and George Groves - means he will make Benn a boy.
The super-confident Brighton man stated, "I will be his fatherly figure during the build-up as well as at the fight."
"I will take him to school and walk him through the doors. Then, I'll sit him down, teach him everything that he needs.
"My advice to him is to get sparring partners that are going really to hurt you for the next 8 weeks. That's his best chance at beating me.
"I will not put him through any pain without sparring. It will shock his system too much."
He looked directly at his opponent and said, "You need to spar to prepare you for the beating that I will give you on October 8."
Conor Benn and Eubank Jr are completely different characters, despite having striking similarities.
Benn uses the emotional edge to fuel his business, while Eubank Jr tries to keep it strictly business.
He said, "I don’t hate anyone." "I wouldn't give anyone the power to hate them. Hate is too strong a passion.
"I don’t even like Conor. He has done nothing for me personally. This fight is personal.
"Nothing has ever happened like this in the history the sport. Two legends who entered a ring thirty years ago and inspired an entire nation, became stars, and etched their names in british history, not just boxing.
"17million people saw them fight twice, and thirty years later their sons will get in the Ring and go to War for the third time.
It has never happened before, and it will never again. That's why I wanted to be part of this. It's very exciting."
Benn will not defend his welterweight world title for the genetic duel.
He is confident that he will stop Eubank Jr. and then return to the 147lbs ranks to be a true box-office star.
To critics, he stated that "this fight makes sense for now" and warned them not to panic if he isn't making enough money too soon.
"A world title is the goal, but this is a fantasy fight to the public.
"While we were at odds at the beginning of our careers, he was always mentioned as a potential opponent even before my debut.
"And now, the stars align for October 8"
Benn, like his Dark Destroyer father, is still furious that the 1993 Manchester clash was called "a spit decision tie" when the Londoner appeared to have the upper hand.
He will also use this as motivation to watch reruns during the two-month buildup of the two-fight rivalry to bring the family feud to 1-1.
He stated, "We both have walked the same path and I respect all fighters.
"But we settle our family business there.
"The last fight was called draw, and now I am able to set the record straight."
