According to Khabib Nurmagomedov, the trainer of Conor McGregor's former UFC fighter, Jake Paul could beat Conor McGregor at boxing.
McGregor, a 24-year-old YouTuber and fighter, has been calling for a fight throughout 2021. He is trying to persuade McGregor back into the boxing ring.
Paul has been calling McGregor out for a while
Javier Mendez, a trainer who has coached Khabib, Cain Velasquez, and Daniel Cormier believes that Paul would be able to beat McGregor.
Betway was interviewed by him and he stated that Jake has many advantages over Conor.
"Size is one of the major factors, along with the fact that he has been boxing for over three years with great boxing pros who know what they are doing. He shouldn't have any fear of Conor.
"When you compare the two, Jake has big advantages in terms of size and power. Although he does not have any fight experience, he has been boxing for a while. Conor hasn't been strictly boxing.
Paul also called out several elite boxers, including the four-weight world champion Saul Canelo Alvarez.
Mendez says Paul should not fight Canelo, as he will be discovered very quickly.
He must fear people like Canelo. He would smash him in one round, which would be embarrassing," he said.
He doesn't have a chance against these types of guys. Conor has the advantage.
Paul is now 4-0 in professional fighting after beating YouTuber AnEsonGib and Nate Robinson, a basketball player, and MMA stars Tyron Woodley and Ben Askren.
American won its last match against Woodley by a split decision. This was the first time Paul had ever gone this far.
McGregor lost his only fight in professional boxing against Floyd Mayweather, which he won via a tenth-round stoppage.
McGregor was forced to submit to Khabib, his bitter rival, in an intense grudge match.
The Irishman has since defeated Donald Cerrone in 2020, but has lost twice to Dustin Poirier this year.
