Floyd Mayweather, right, and Mike Tyson (center) have been in a long-running feud for more than 20 years

Tyson, 55 years old, attacked Mayweather's view, 45-year-old, that there are too few belts in boxing and that "everybody is a champion".

"Iron Mike" believes that fighters are more likely to make larger amounts of money because there are more belts available.

According to Essentially Sports, Tyson said that boxing has no need for too many belts since every championship fight brings in more money for the fighter.

"There are never enough belts that you know."

"If there is one champion and 10 men, how long does it take for the champion fight the 10?

"Plus, they have to go through each other... It is good to have three champions so that everyone can get paid... Everyone makes money.

"That's the essence of this business. Money."

SunSport reports that this is not the first time they have disagreed.

MUTUAL RESPECT UNTIL2001

They were friends up until 2001. Their relationship was based on mutual respect.

Tyson believes Mayweather was involved in the raid of his Las Vegas house by police after he was charged with kidnapping, sexual assault and other crimes.

Mayweather's career was just beginning to take off, as Tyson was starting to slow down. There was never any boxing rivalry between the two weight divisions.

Their relationship ended officially when a report said that 'Money" was involved in a raid on Tyson's Las Vegas residence. He was also accused of sexual assaulting and kidnapping a woman.

The sensational claim that Mayweather was angry at Tyson's sighting of the girl in question was made by the media. He told her to report to the police the unsubstantiated claims.

The cops descended on Tyson's pad and ended their friendship.

Tyson even spoke about Boxing Junkie's incident in the past, saying that "some serious people said it."

He has not been able find any evidence to suggest that Mayweather was involved.

He said, "I'm okay with it now...You can forgive, but remember,"

"I'M THE GREATEST"

In 2015, Mayweather claimed that he was the greatest fighter in history.

Tyson called Mayweather's boast "delusional" because he called Tyson "delusional".

It's difficult to argue with an unbeaten record.

Tyson was not having it and he didn't mince words when Mayweather boasted about himself.

Tyson stated, "He's very delusional."

"Listen, if he were anywhere near the realm of greatness as Muhammad Ali, then he would be able take his children to school all by himself.

"Ok, he can’t take his children to school alone, but he’s saying that he’s great?"

"Greatness does not mean being a shield against the people. It's accepting the people.

"He cannot take his children to school alone. He is a little scared. He is a small, scared man."

TYSON BACKS HIMSELF

Tyson believes Floyd can be battered despite Mayweather's bold statements.

GQ asked the former heavyweight champion which fighter would win in a street battle between the two.

If Mayweather ever faced Tyson, he would be accused of using dirty tactics

Mike was unambiguous in his response. "[I would] kick Floyd’s a ***... there wouldn’t even be a match."

In an interview with ShoBox, the exact same question was again asked, this time about the setting of the fight. Tyson said he would have to fight dirty.

He said, "We cannot fight, of course, due to the weight difference. But I wouldn't fight them the way they fought me."

"I would be mean and I would be filthy. Because he is so great, you would have to do everything possible to defeat him.

It's almost impossible to fight him clean. It is almost impossible to fight him clean. He is impossible to fight clean. This guy is not a fighter you can clean up.

Is it a joke or a huge deal?

Mayweather and Tyson met at a WBC convention in Las Vegas, which took place at the Mirage Hotel & Casino.

As Mike made his way down to the line, he was met by many who expected fireworks.

Floyd extended his arm to his credit. Tyson, however, refused to accept it. Instead, he threw a pretend righthook inches from Mayweather's body before hugging him.

Tyson's swing was unaffected by Mayweather's, but Mayweather did not flinch. Perhaps there was some animosity towards each other.

They will be the only ones to know.
