Gharibi will fight Ford, the movie star - who has been called the "world's most dangerous man" - at the O2 Arena on April 30.
They met in Dubai, UAE, during February as they were promoting the super-heavyweight fight.
Gharibi, 30 years old, was pushed to ground and lost his relationship to his parents when he returned to Iran.
In a television interview, he stated that he could not call his family. He also said that he didn't return to his family when re-united.
"I cannot talk to my father, and my mother, when she spoke to me, said that the person I saw in the video was not my son. My son is stronger than this."
"It hurts me when I can't speak to my family. I have lost all my pride and am now completely destroyed. I don't know how to explain it.

Ford, 39, attacked Gharibi's training at the pre-fight press conference and asked if his opponent is serious about the fight.
He stated: "A lot of things have been said. I am asking the question, if he really wants to fight for me?"
"Because I don’t want to be seen as a bully or intimidating someone who hasn’t put in the same amount of work as me.
"If he truly wants to fight, tell everybody and don't make it about me.
