AMIR KHAN was 'nearly out of the venue' after a row with Kell Brook over Kell Brook’s gloves, which almost led to the fight being AXED.
Brook claimed Khan made several demands in order to get their bitter grudge match sealed and signed.
Kell Brook had to remove his Fly gloves
It was discovered that horsehair gloves, which are often used by power punchers because it offers less protection, were contractually prohibited.
Brook, 35, walked out wearing Fly gloves, but strangely switched to Grants, the same ones Khan wore while wearing the ring.
Promoter Ben Shalom said that the fight almost ended in the final minute after a dispute.
Shalom stated on talkSPORT that Amir Khan asked Shalom to ensure there were no horse hairs in the gloves.
"Horsehair is, unbeknownst to me, my board and some of my colleagues, in 90% of gloves.
It was 100 percent in gloves twenty or thirty years ago. It reached the end of the night. The gloves were passed on Friday night, and everything was fine.

We opened a pair very similar to Kell's and found horse hair in them. It absolutely kicked off.
"Amir almost left the venue. Dominic Ingle said that he knew exactly what he was doing and would not change his gloves.
"Eventually, Kell changed his gloves in the ring at the eleventh hour. You saw it."
Khan refused to fight until Brook switched gloves. Khan did so in the ring, under the supervision of Robert Smith of British Boxing Board of Control.
Shalom argues that it didn't matter as Brook won the fight in the first round. The fight was stopped in round six.
Promoter: "It wasn't drama. It was 50/50 whether the fight would take place.
They were both certain they wouldn't go out. Amir refused to leave unless Kell changed the gloves.
"In the end it was Kell's fault that he changed his gloves, but it didn’t really make any difference."
