TYSON FURRY'S US promoter Bob Arum predicted a "massacre", if he faced Anthony Joshua next.
The Gypsy King, aged 34, wants to fight AJ before it ends.
Tyson Fury would like to fight Anthony Joshua before year's end
Bob Arum believes AJ would like to face a different fight to regain his confidence
Joshua was offered a 40% split of the largest purse in British boxing history.
Joshua seems to be hesitant about accepting that the fight will take place in December or November. Fury wants it to happen in late November/early December.
Arum thinks the former world champion will not fight after being defeated by Oleksandr Usyk twice.
Boxing Social was told by Arum that he didn't believe it would happen. Fury would love it to happen. However, I'm putting myself in the shoes Eddie Hearn or Joshua.
"And after losing twice against Usyk, you want him to be back in the ring. Get him two fights that will restore his confidence.
"If he returns to the ring now, Fury, it will be a massacre."
AJ adopted Usyk’s brutal swimming routine in an effort to get back to his best. He claimed that he "loves a challenge."
Instead of Fury's bout, Eddie Hearn, his promoter, is looking to a rematch with Dillian Whyte (who he defeated in 2015) or Deontay Wilder.
Arum believes that AJ won't fight Fury despite being offered a fair financial package.
Arum said: "I think the purse split is pretty fair, right?" Joshua is not a champion anymore.
"But, again, let's be careful - I don’t believe Fury against Joshua will occur this year. Everything I know about boxing from Joshua’s perspective indicates that it won’t."
