In preparation for his fight with the Mexican giant, the Hitman, famously known for getting too high during fights, has made sure to do everything possible. He's stopped drinking and eating junk food, and has been strict about following a diet.
According to him, he told The Telegraph that he was 14 years old and had lost six stone. Now, a year later, he is 12 years old. It's amazing how fast I have lost this weight in seven weeks.

"When I was alone, it was crisps and biscuits. But now, it's a little bit more of a banana for the protein.
"To lose 2 stone in 7 weeks, I have no regrets.
"For breakfast, I have some porridge, then I have my set meals, which I prepare myself. I also have a protein shake or milkshake between them, and a bit of fruit to satisfy my hunger.
"I know when to let my foot down, because we have eight rounds with Marco at pace.
"I know when I should put my head on the settee to rest. "I'm now listening to my body."
Hatton's drastic weight loss has had a significant impact on his daily life. It makes it much easier for him to do the mundane tasks that he used to have to do.
He stated, "I feel great. I feel better about my appearance."
"If you look better, it's easier to feel better. You speak better, perform better and everything is better when you feel good inside.
"The fighters that I train are getting better training because I think faster, I think faster, and I feel healthier in myself.
"I love picking up my children from school and dropping them off. It's so much easier.
"I don’t have an ego. I suppose all of us have a little ego. But it’s nice when people say to Ricky, "Ricky, you look so good, it took years off of you."
"My willpower and determination are strong. Although I still enjoy my nights out, they are few and far between. I believe this Ricky will be here for the long haul.
