According to McGregor, McGregor should be paid more because of what he brings to the sport.

The Mirror reported that Paul, who has been trying to lure McGregor into the ring over the past year made his thoughts public in a tweet rant.

Paul tweeted, "Conor McGregor is the most underpaid fighter ever in history. For what he gets paid for fighting versus the value he brings to UFC and ESPN.

Paul's fight for fair fighter pay led him to form his own promotion company, Most Valuable Promotions, with Showtime Boxing.

He said, "I partnered up with Stephen Espinoza [the Head of Showtime Boxing].

"Because of his creation of the largest PPVs and made sure fighters received majority of the revenue, instead 10% like UFC."

McGregor appears to be doing well, judging by his bank balance.

He was the UFC's top-paid fighter in 2019, earning a staggering PS7.35MILLION as pay cheques during that stage of his professional career.

The 33-year old was also revealed earlier this year to be the eighth-richest fighter in the world, with a net worth exceeding PS85m.

For his three last fights, he earned PS2.3m. But Pay-Per-View bonus would have seen that number rocket.

The rest of his wealth was amassed in the clothing, whiskey, and fitness businesses, as well as sponsorships outside the cage.

If his bout with Paul happens, his wealth could soar even more.

Paul believes McGregor and he could make PS72m by selling 3,000,000 PPV's.
