The 39-year-old ex-UFC champion Tyron Whiteley beat him to make it 4-0 in eight rounds.
Paul, now 24, will fight Tommy Fury (22) next in Florida on December 18. He claimed that his early career is better than any of the greatest boxers.
He stated that "Nobody, from Muhammad Ali to Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather, was testing themselves so much as I was during my fourth fight."
"I gained a lot of knowledge about myself, my capabilities and how I perform under pressure.
"I look forward bringing that experience into my next fight."
Fury will be Paul’s first opponent with professional boxing experience. However, Askren and Woodley are both former MMA champions.

Fury is more skilled at 7-0 but has only fought journeyman opposition, which is a common occurrence for novice boxers.
Paul is entering his third consecutive pay per view headliner and believes that his opponent's inexperience will prove to be his downfall.

"I see a green man who has not sparred enough and has been only put in there with opponents who were meant to lose.
"This is his first test in which his opponent doesn't just flop over. That's what you'll see.
"You're about to see a fighter that is a virgin. He doesn't know what he is getting himself into.
"This is his first time performing under the big lights, on the big stage and he's going crack under the pressure."
