Jake Paul believes he is closer than ever to becoming a billionaire after his fight with Tyron Woodley

Mirror reports that the social media superstar took to Instagram to show his appreciation for his win and to give himself a pat on the back.

Paul wrote, reportedly in a post for his 17 million followers on the platform: "When you get 10% closer to becoming billionaire.

Despite claims that the clash was the second most-sold pay-per-view event of the year, behind Logan's duel against Floyd Mayweather (which was also the biggest selling), reports suggest that Paul could make far less than a nine figure sum.

Sportingfree.com estimates that the YouTube presenter could make around PS1.4m ($2m) in the clash, which includes its pay-per view income.

The social media star, who is obsessed with boxing, has invested in a venture capital firm that could provide the foundation for his earnings.

During his time in boxing, Paul has been advocating for better earnings for boxers.

Showtime Sports was informed by the YouTuber: "Many young fighters are lured into long fight contracts. Then they become stars and the promoters make all their money."

"I want help solving that problem. It is a problem that must be tackled in many ways.

"First, the sports must become more popular. Increased popularity means more fans and more audiences, which in turn will result in more revenue. It's also something I believe in.

Paul, 24, has reinvented his self as a prizefighter and has been challenged by Michael Bisping to a professional boxing bout.

The MMA legend claims that sparring with the YouTube star would be the simplest.

In the first round, Paul scored a three-punch combo on Woodley. It was in Cleveland, Ohio, his hometown.

In the third round, the YouTuber received some strong right-hand jabs by his former UFC welterweight opponent

This was after a second round of testing that saw social media stars sometimes on the back foot.

Paul took the fight to Woodley, landing a right elbowcut, before the UFC specialist connected using a large right hand.

The vlogger was left with a severe injury that caused him to fall into the ropes.

Paul ended the round by extending his hand above the head, indicating that both fighters were tired.

The YouTuber won his fourth pro-boxing win, after a split decision was announced.
