Promoter Jake Paul says that a blockbuster fight between boxing phenoms Katie Taylor & Amanda Serrano could soon be realized.
Paul signed Serrano from Puerto Rico to his Most Valuable Promotions, a month after she had competed on the undercard for his clash with former UFC star Tyron Woodley.
Kate Taylor could finally meet Amanda Serrano in the long-awaited clash
In an effort to make her the most popular fighter, The Problem Child bought the WBC, WBO and IBO featherweight champion.
After talks with Eddie Hearn, Taylor may soon face off against the promoter.
Paul tweeted: "The largest female fight in history, is almost over."
Taylor and Serrano are widely considered to be the No.1 and No.2 fighters pound-for–pound, respectively. They were due to meet in August 2020.
After Serrano pulled out of financial reasons, the mouthwatering bout was cancelled.
After her August unanimous victory over Yilameth, Mercado, Serrano again campaigned to fight.
Taylor, an Irish sensation, is eager to have it with the younger Serrano sister.
DAZN was informed by her: "That's an argument that has been discussed for the past couple of years.
"This battle has been in the making for a while.
"It has been scheduled a few times before.
"I was asked to prepare before that fight and it fell through a couple times, but not because of me.
"I believe that she and her team were the ones who pulled out the fight.
"I would be extremely, very excited to enter the ring against Amanda Serrano.
"I think the fight is more important now than ever before.
"So, if it does happen, it will be huge."
