Jake Paul Donates Entire Fight Purse To Charity In Effort To Build Boxing Gyms

YouTube Star-Turned-Boxer Jake Paul has made a generous announcement

Jake Paul has revealed that he plans to donate his entire next fight purse to charity in order to support the construction of more boxing gyms. The YouTuber-turned-boxer is scheduled to return to the ring on March 2, as part of the undercard for Amanda Serrano's homecoming in Puerto Rico. Paul's opponent for the fight has not yet been announced, but he has pledged to donate his purse to his charity foundation, Boxing Bullies.

Expanding the mission and renovating more gyms

Speaking about his decision, Paul stated, "The mission keeps on getting bigger, and we're going to continue to renovate more gyms. I'm actually going to be donating my entire fight purse to Boxing Bullies to renovate more gyms in Puerto Rico." His business partner, Nakisa Bidarian, emphasized the significance of this, saying, "I just want to repeat that right. He's donating his entire purse to renovate gyms in Puerto Rico."

A passion for boxing and giving back

In 2021, Paul launched Boxing Bullies, a charity aimed at introducing boxing to the younger generation. With his next gym renovation, he plans to pay tribute to boxing legend and seven-division champion Amanda Serrano. Paul shared, "I don't know if we can sneak preview that one of the gyms is going to be an Amanda Serrano gym."

Looking ahead to the fight

Last February, Jake Paul suffered his first boxing career defeat at the hands of Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia. However, he quickly bounced back with a points victory over ex-UFC star Nate Diaz and a first-round knockout against Andre August. Now, Paul is preparing to face a new opponent with an impressive ring resume and title belts to his name. Paul teased, "He's a professional boxer with an even better record than Andre August, and there will be an announcement coming soon. But again, it's another step up in competition, and I'm continuing to challenge myself on March 2nd."

Bidarian added that Jake Paul's next opponent will be confirmed and announced on January 30.
