Canelo refused to rule out a fight against Jake Paul.

He said he would like to retire the gloves following a fight against Canelo in future, which he suggested would prove competitive.

Paul, 25 years old, said on The Journey podcast that he would fight for the cause.

"Right now, I couldn't defeat Canelo. Five fights or six fights later, I could put up an f *****g great fight and we'll watch what happens."

Surprisingly, Canelo, 31, a four-division champion, has not ruled out the fight.

In September, he told TMZ: "Not right at the moment. He isn't ready. He must continue to improve. "Good luck!"

Canelo will be back in action on May 7th against Dmitry Bivol (31), in Las Vegas in a WBA light heavyweight title challenge.

Paul was in the ring at the end of December, when he defeated Tyron Woodley (39), in a late-notice rematch.

Woodley, who had been defeated on points four-months earlier, was replaced by Tommy Fury (22), who was injured.
