Jake Paul proposes radical solution to correct dodgy boxing judging after Jack Catterall was robbed by Josh Taylor

JAKE PAUL weighs in on Josh Taylor’s controversial win over Jack Catterall, and suggests a new points system.

Taylor, 31 years old, escaped with his super-lightweight titles and unbeaten record. Catterall was left a victim of another robbery at a British ring.

Officials Victor Loughlin, Ian John-Lewis were questioned about scoring Taylor's fight.

Howard Foster was able to make some sense of his 113-112 card, which he presented to Catterall. The verdict was split.

The score was trashed by almost everyone, from online fans to pundits and fighters of the past, present and future.

Paul, 25, a YouTube star who is now a prizefighter, shared his views on Twitter and asked for six-person judges.

He tweeted: "I believe there should be 6 boxesing judges for title fights, 3 pairs of 2.

"Each pair must agree on the same score at round's end. If they don’t, they may briefly discuss their reasoning.

"Almost like a jury system. These poor decisions can change the sport's shape forever.

Paul, who is unbeaten, but has not yet been tested at 5-0, said: "Or something similar." This is just a quick brainstorm.

It was confirmed that the British Boxing Board of Control would investigate Taylor's win.

Robert Smith, the General Secretary of BBOBC, told The Daily Telegraph that they will investigate it.

"There were some close rounds. It was very close. We will be looking at the reports of the judges this week.

"Our judges were honest and scored it exactly as they saw it. "I was there and Catterall beat it," I said.

Catterall, 28 years old, broke his silence one day after the result was announced and took aim at the sport for letting his performance of a lifetime go to waste.

He wrote: "You know the worst thing? It wasn't for you. I did all this for my family, my team, my hometown, and my country.

"My baby girl, and our future. Today, I should have been waking up with all the belts. I was 15 months old when they gave me the ring.

"F **ke me in every possible way for more than two years, finally won the fight.

"Sacrificed everything in order to fight one the top p4p fighters, taught him a lesson. What? Boxing shame on yours."
