Jake Paul quits boxing to SWIMMING in open gym and rules out Tommy Fury fighting

JAKE PAUL started SWIMMING in an open gym with his shoes on - and was later ruled out of ever fighting Tommy Fury.

The YouTube sensation performed before the media in Florida, ahead of his rematch against Tyron Woodley.

After some shadow boxing and skipping, Paul was able to get out of the ring and go for a swim in the pool.

Paul explained his decision by saying: "I took advantage that the pool was right there.

"We swam a lot during the camp so I decided that it was worth doing an open workout.

When asked about wearing shoes while swimming, he replied: "Yeah it makes you heavier." It makes swimming a little more difficult.

Paul beat YouTuber "AnEsonGib", ex-NBA star Nate Robinson (37), and Ben Askren (37).

His biggest win was in August against Woodley, 39, who won eight rounds.

Paul, 24 years old, was set to fight Tommy Fury (22-year-old British reality TV star). Paul then suffered a broken rib, and a chest infection.

Fury has now signed Woodley as her replacement opponent. The pair will rematch over the weekend.

Fury will be absent until March. Paul wants the celebrity grudge match rescheduled.

He stated that he didn't believe there would ever be a fight between them. He won't have the chance.

"He got his shot. He was going to get me against me, but I would like to see him fight another 20 times.

"So sorry Tommy. It's not going to happen."
