Confrontation and Signing
Jake Paul has officially signed Indian boxing star Neeraj Goyat after Goyat traveled 9,000 miles to confront the YouTuber-turned-boxer in person.
Goyat, who previously signed to fight Amir Khan, has been calling out Paul relentlessly, leading to the dramatic face-to-face meeting in a car park where words were exchanged before security stepped in.
Partnership with Most Valuable Promotions
Paul's Most Valuable Promotions has welcomed Goyat into the family, with Goyat expressing his excitement to work with MVP to elevate professional boxing in India and globally showcase Indian boxers.
MVP will promote Goyat's fights moving forward, with the possibility of a future matchup between Paul and Goyat in India.
Background and Stats
Goyat, with nearly 1 million Instagram followers, has not only excelled in boxing but has also starred in movies in India and reality shows on Netflix. He has won various WBC titles and has a record of 18-4-2, winning nine of his last ten fights.
However, negotiations for a potential fight between Paul and Goyat may face challenges due to Goyat's weight history, never having fought over the 147lb welterweight limit.
On the other hand, Paul, who recently bounced back from a loss to Tommy Fury with wins over Nate Diaz and Andre August, is set to face Ryan Bourland over the weekend on the undercard of Amanda Serrano's San Juan homecoming.
