YouTube sensation turned boxer, Jake Paul, has revealed that his dream fight against one of boxing's biggest superstars is "closer" than fans may think.
A Rocky Start
In February, Paul experienced his first defeat in the ring, losing a split-decision to Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia. However, he quickly bounced back with a victory over MMA veteran Nate Diaz in August.
New Opponent, Same Ambition
On December 15, Paul will face little-known professional boxer Andre August, with a record of 10-1-1. The American sees this fight as the first step towards his ultimate goal of challenging for a world title.
Canelo Alvarez on the Radar
Paul has set his sights on a highly unlikely match-up with four-division champion Canelo Alvarez, whom he believes he is getting closer to facing. Alvarez himself has expressed interest in the fight, but not in the immediate future.

Building Momentum
Paul believes that by taking on opponents like Fury and August, he is building the necessary experience and credibility to eventually step into the ring with Canelo. He even declared that Canelo has now surpassed Conor McGregor as his "dream" opponent.
With each victory, Paul aims to prove himself as a legitimate contender and raise the level of competition, making a potential clash with Canelo an intriguing prospect for the future.
