JAKE PAUL's fight against Hasim Rahman Jr. has been canceled at the last moment.
The YouTube star was scheduled to fight at Madison Square Garden next week.
Jake Paul's fight with Hasim Rahman was cancelled
However, a Saturday night statement criticized Rahman's actions in shifting the goalposts.
Most Valuable Promotions stated that Rahman's team attempted to reduce the fight weight from 200 to 215 lbs.
It read: "The boxing world must hold Hasim Rahman Jr. liable for his lack professionalism."
Rahman and his team were said to have assured him that he would gain 200 lbs by Friday's weigh-in.
Paul's team claims they were willing to increase the weight to 200 lbs. Rahman however indicated that he would weigh in at 215 lbs.
The fight was canceled and refunds were offered to ticket holders and PPV purchasers.
Paul was scheduled to face Tommy Fury, a British reality star and boxer.
Fury was denied visa status and could not fight the YouTuber at Madison Square Garden.
Paul sparred with Chad Dawson, an ex-world champ, in preparation for the fight.
He was ready for one of his most difficult fights in his young boxing career.
This was to be the sixth professional fight of the younger Paul brother, and he has not lost a fight so far.
