JAKE PAUL claims he is in Paradise, training to fight Tyron Whiteley in Puerto Rico.
Logan, the YouTuber, and he moved to the Caribbean earlier this year to escape Los Angeles distractions.
Jake Paul is in Paradise, training to fight Tyron Whiteley in Puerto Rico
Paul is 3-0 as a fighter all by knockout. He has opened a shop in Big Bear California and Las Vegas for his three previous fights.
These are all considered training hotspots Stateside with many sparring partners, gyms and other options.
The social media star decided to move over 3,000 miles to live in Puerto Rico, where he could enjoy the bright lights of America.
Paul, 24 years old, told SunSport that he loved all of his training camps.
I believe that isolation is the key to a training camp's success. It means not being distracted. Puerto Rico is a great place to do this.
"Hyper-focus is a way to focus down even when you're trying to have fun. Sometimes there's not much going on.
"There were about 100 people trying to get me to do something when I was in Miami for Ben Askren's training camp.
"Even that energy to reply to them, and to say, "Hey, I can't get out,". Even that is a distraction by itself.
"I love it down there, the runs on the beach are amazing, this is a magical place to get your thoughts right and just focus on what lies ahead."
Paul is trained by BJ Flores, a former contender at cruiserweight - and JLeon Love, super-middleweight boxer.
Anthony Taylor, a 7-5 MMA fighter, is also a regular in his camp.
Paul was sparred by Taylor, 32, before beating Ben Askren (37), in April. Taylor has also done the same for Woodley's return.
Interestingly, the lightweight Bellator fighter will be fighting on the undercard against Tommy Fury of Britain.
Fury, 22 years old, is expected to announce himself to the US market. He will then work towards a fight against Paul, whom he has fought in recent months.
The feud only intensifies when Paul faces Taylor, his sparring partner and friend.
After countless rounds of sparring, Fury was warned by the American that he could be stopped.
Paul stated: "Anthony's a great fighter. He's a tough child. I think Tommy has a very difficult fight against him coming up. I think he underestimates his opponent.
"I believe that it's a horrible thing to do and I want Anthony win.
"I want Tommy to beat him, and be like: "Yo Tommy, you can’t even beat my sparring partner. Who are you going to beat?”
"It's going be a great one one to see."
Paul will be facing Woodley, an ex-UFC welterweight champion. This is undoubtedly his most difficult test yet.
There are still questions about his legitimacy as fighter despite wins over AnEsonGib, a YouTuber who beat Nate Robinson (37), and Ben Askren (37).
Paul plans to answer his critics in ring but he also has his sights set on going unimaginably far in the sport.
He stated that the end game now was to be a world champion.
To win a world championship belt, to leave a lasting impression on the sport and make history, create incredible events and fights that will be remembered forever.
"And to retire at the top."
