Jake Paul's Busy Schedule
Jake Paul's highly anticipated switch from boxing to MMA is facing a delay due to his upcoming boxing match against heavyweight icon Mike Tyson. This will be Paul's third bout in just seven months as he aims to improve on his 9-1 record, with his only defeat coming against Tommy Fury in February 2023.
Delay in MMA Debut
Despite announcing a deal with the Professional Fighters League to make his MMA debut, Paul has had to put his cage training on hold to focus on the fight with Tyson. PFL boss Donn Davis confirmed that Paul's development in MMA is not progressing as quickly as expected, with the timing of his debut being delayed.
Preparation for MMA
Paul, 27, has gone as far as installing a full-scale PFL cage in his training base in Puerto Rico to prepare for his MMA debut. He even offered Fury a lucrative two-fight deal across boxing and MMA, but Fury is currently recovering from hand surgery.
Training with US Olympic Boxing Team
Meanwhile, Mike Tyson, 57, is making a comeback after four years out of the ring to face Paul. The social media sensation is currently in Colorado training with the US Olympic boxing team in preparation for the much-anticipated bout against Tyson.
