Jake Paul made significant changes to his training team ahead of his fight against Nate Diaz, and it has earned him praise from one of his sparring partners.

A Fresh Start

After suffering his first loss to Tommy Fury in February, the YouTuber-turned-boxer decided to revamp his training team. He parted ways with ex-cruiserweight contender BJ Flores and co-trainer Danny Smith.

Instead, Paul brought back boxing legend Shane Mosley, his first-ever trainer, to serve as an advisor. Theotrice Chambers is now acting as head coach in Paul's Puerto Rico base camp.

Impressive Work Ethic

During his training camp, Paul worked with top-flight sparring partners, including middleweight Joshua Pagan. Pagan, who was put in touch with Paul's team by his promoter Dmitriy Salita, had nothing but praise for Paul.

He said, "Jake's work ethic and willingness to learn is what impressed me about him. He comes into the gym focused and ready to work, and I respect that because that is how I am when it is time to work."

Pagan and his father expressed their interest in working with Chambers, prompting Salita to arrange for Pagan to fly out to Puerto Rico for sparring sessions with Paul.

Predicting Victory

As for the fight against Nate Diaz, Pagan predicts a unanimous decision win for Jake Paul. He believes that Paul's arsenal of skills, combined with what he has learned in this training camp, will pay off on fight night.

Paul chose to face Diaz instead of a rematch with Fury, but Pagan has urged him to go back in for the sequel after the Diaz fight. He believes that Paul's changes in camp and preparation will lead to a victory against Fury.
