Jaron Ennis is one the most exciting prospects in boxing

Already, he has been praised by Floyd Mayweather (44), and has drawn comparisons to Roy Jones Jr., 55.

Ennis is determined to surpass even their legendary legacies, and to reign from welterweight into super-middleweight with all the belts.

SunSport interviewed him: "I want history to remember me as one of the greatest players ever."

"I want to be the undisputed champion at 47, 54 and 60, and 68. I am also the undisputed world champion four times.

"It's not been done before, and I want it to be the first.

"I want everyone to love my style and the fans to keep watching me."

Boxing has never had more than six undisputed champions, with Teofimo Lopez (lightweight) being the only exception.

However, none of them were able to do it in more than one division.

Ennis is yet to fight for a title but has a stunning, switch-hitting style. He carries power from both stances and has the ability to use it.

He is even forced to fight light-heavyweights who naturally fight TWO STONE less than him.

Ennis said: "I spar with a lot larger guys, like 68 and 75. Names are hard to remember, but I spar with many guys.

"When I go to camp, I spar with bigger guys because my strength is too great for the men in my weight. So I bring in 54, 60 and 68 guys, some 75.

"I need the extra weight. Although I can do it, it is better for me to fight bigger men. Sometimes, I bring in a smaller man just to speed up.

"But I don’t throw much power or anything like that."

Ennis, who recently defeated Thomas Dulorme (31), in round one of the fight, is currently ranked in the top six for each governing body, and in the top three for the IBF.

He is fortunate to have not one, but two elite fighters in this weight division who are considered to rank among the top ten worldwide.

He is still waiting for Terence Crawford (34), and Errol Spence Jr. (31), to decide who is the welterweight No1.

Ennis stated that it was a great feeling to have two men who are pound for pound the same weight as I.

"I hope they fight each other. Then I can go in there and fight one or both of them."

Crawford, the WBO champion, will fight Shawn Porter (34 years old) in Las Vegas on November 20, or Spence, WBC and IBF holder Spence. Ennis is keen to challenge Crawford.

He could have it his way and it would happen sooner than anyone can predict.

Ennis said: "Honestly, it feels like it could happen next. However, it is likely that there will be one or two more fights.
