Five members of the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC), unanimously voted to suspend Miller until June 16, 2022.

However, Anthony A Marnell III, the commissioner, suggested that the American be immediately eligible for a licence starting June 17.

Miller will still need to submit negative drug tests via a Voluntary Anti-Doping Association's (VADA), random drug testing program.

It could also open the door for former competitors to return in summer.

Dmitry Salita, the promoter, told the Daily Mail that he would like the Commission to allow it to take place at the end of June.

"End June or early July – as soon as you can. He has been training and is in good shape.

"He'll return to the ring as soon as the Commission grants him a license and as soon we find him a suitable date and TV partner to work alongside,

Miller was given a backdated 24-month ban after he tested positive for GW501516, also known as endurobol and cardarine--before his July 9 fight against Jerry Forrest.

He was given the opportunity to receive a six-month reduced rate by complying with random drug test terms. This means that he must submit at least two random drugs tests per month for six consecutive years.

Miller, however, was unable to pay for the testing program because he has not fought since November 2018.

Jeffrey Mullen, the executive director of NSAC was ready to reject Miller's application for a 12-week reduction based upon his past drug testing offenses.

Miller was found to have tested positive for a banned drug at a California kickboxing competition in June 2014. He was then suspended for nine months.

His most prominent controversy was before his June 2019 fight for the unified heavyweight title with Anthony Joshua in New York.

Miller failed three VADA test tests later and was replaced by Andy Ruiz Jr. 32. He stunned AJ, but lost the rematch six month later.

After signing with Bob Arum's Top Rank stable, he was set to return in 2020. He then ran into his most recent drug-test shame.

Miller has been training ever since. Tyson Fury, 33 brought Miller in as a sparring partner, to duplicate Dillian Whyte 33.

Salita sees Fury still as a potential opponent.

He stated, "I would love them to fight down that line for sure."

"With their personalities it would be one the most exciting and fun promotions in boxing.

Let's go one step at a while. Jarrell is at his best and has the ability to defeat anyone in the heavyweight division.

"But it is not the time for them to fight each other."
