BOXING legend Joe Calzaghe believes Anthony Joshua made a mistake in choosing Robert Garcia to be his coach before his match with Oleksandr Ustik.
Joshua and Usyk will clash in a rematch in August 20 in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) as the British star looks to avenge September's defeat.
Anthony Joshua has hired Robert Garcia to be his new coach in his rematch against Oleksandr Usyk
Joe Calzaghe doesn't think Robert Garcia is the right person to coach Anthony Joshua
After losing to his Ukrainian opponent, AJ fired Robert McCracken, his former coach. He went on a tour of the USA in search for a mentor and was led to Garcia.
Calzaghe doesn't believe the former champion of the unified heavyweight world has made the right decision.
According to Welsh legend, Joshua had to make a change. Time will show if he did.
Calzaghe said to Boxing Social, "I don't think we should wait and see at night."
"I believe it was time for him have a change so that I think that's a good idea. Whether Garcia is the right man, I'm not sure. We'll just wait and watch.
"I believe he must change things. When a fighter realizes that they need to change, it's a step forward.
He knows that he needs to tactically change his opponent Usyk, who is a very good boxer. His amateur boxing background, which includes boxing since a young age, makes him an outstanding boxer and big man.
"I believe Joshua could make his strength more valuable in this fight, and use his punching ability to make it really exciting.

Joshua acknowledged that he didn't meet all of the coaches he had hoped to when he was in the US.
Garcia, 32, is confident in Garcia. Garcia has a track record producing powerful and aggressive fighters. Garcia described Garcia as a "bad-boy coach".
Joshua stated: "Texas Fresno LA, I saw many coaches before I chose my new trainer – and there were coaches I didn't see - but he stood out. Robert Garcia is a bad-boy coach.
