JOE FOURNIER claimed that he gave David Haye an 'broken nose' during a sparring session with "blood literally everywhere".
Fournier was a close friend to British boxing legend Haye. Haye even managed and promoted Fournier.
Millionaire nightclub mogul and 10-0 boxer, officially debuting in 2015, sparred with Haymaker.
Haye, aged 40, was left with a surprising nose break. Fournier, 38, insists on their fight on Saturday night.
Switchbox TV he said that he and David sparred a lot about five years ago. He said that I was his sparring partner. But nobody knows.
Bellew used me as his sparring partner for his fights with Bellew, because I was so lightweight.
He always puts his eyes back and does volume first, then cardio and then he works with heavyweights and cruiserweights.
"There was one instance in Miami when I hit him with a lefthook and bang. He broke his nose. There was blood everywhere.
Imagine a 10 oz glove with no headgear. What would have happened? It is worth thinking about.
"He's going 70%, I'm trying to survive, but it's been six year I've been active, and four years where he hasn’t, and you have to believe, this is a real match up!"
Despite their friendship and close bond, a dispute in Mykonos about who would win at the moment led to a fight between them.
Haye, who lost to Tony Bellew twice, will be making his return against Fournier in eight rounds.
He refused to confess that he had been rocked during their sparring sessions prior, despite his bloodied nose.
Haye stated, "He's never hurt my feelings, I've felt His power."
"I believe that he slit my nose once and caught me with a shot. It busted my nose a bit. That's my claim to fame."
