JOE JOYCE called on the International Olympic Committee for a gold medal in his honor after learning that his super-heavyweight final at Rio Games 2016 was one of the manipulated matches.
Professor Richard McLaren's report revealed this week that eleven Games matches, including Joyce's clash against Tony Yoka from France, were subject to a "system of manipulation".
Joyce, the mandatory WBO heavyweight title challenger, wants justice to be done.
In a statement, The Juggernaut stated that it was sad to see corruption in any sports but especially boxing, which is the sport that I love.
"I believe I was the winner in the match with Tony Yoka, and I deserved the gold medal."
"But on that day, I didn't get that decision and at that time, I accepted that.
"I have scanned the Mclaren Report and found that there was corruption at the AIBA, which affected my gold medal match against Tony Yoka.
"If there has been any corruption, which appears to have occurred, I trust that AIBA and IOC will uphold the integrity of the sport and award me the gold-medal.
"I will be reviewing the report with my legal team, and I await the decision from AIBA and IOC.
"Corruption must never be allowed to succeed."
McLaren's report states that judges "used signals" to fix multiple bouts, including Michael Conlan's controversial loss against Vladimir Nikitin.
Wu Ching-kuo, a former president of the International Boxing Association, is alleged to have allowed'manipulation flourish.
Umar Kremlev, the new chief of AIBA, stated in a statement that "Aiba has hired Professor McLaren because there is nothing to hide."
"We will incorporate any useful recommendations. We will seek legal advice on what legal action can be taken against anyone who is suspected of manipulating.
"Anyone who has fought should not be allowed to join the Aiba clan."
The IOC has yet to comment on McLaren's report.
