Joe Joyce vs Joseph Parker. POSTPONED because Joe Joyce, a Kiwi boxer, and Tyson Fury’s trainer's wife, is due with baby the same week

JOE JOYCE'S Joseph Parker fight with the Kiwi trainer is delayed after he put a bun in the oven.

At the beginning of July, the 2016 Olympic silver medalist was to take on New Zealand's WBO heavyweight.

Andy Lee, the Irish mastermind and assistant trainer to Tyson Fury, is expecting a new member of his family.

The thrilling battle between Fury's favorite training partner and the Putney giant will now take place in September.

The winner would be able to move closer to the WBC title against the Gypsy King if Joyce and Parker fought it out.

The good news is that the fight has been postponed by about a month for the former world champion in middleweight and The Juggernaut is now on the hunt for another victim.

Frank Warren, Queensberry promoter, confirmed that Parker could not fight Andy Lee because Andy Lee's wife is due with her first child in July.

"Joe Joyce will now fight a different opponent in the interim. We have a shortlist of three men and we hope to announce this fight soon.

"As long Joyce wins that fight, which we believe he will, then we will make the fight after Andy and his wife have given birth to their baby."

Warren said in an interview with iFL TV: "We had to push it back now until September, but Joe [Joyce] will be out in the interim.

"So, we're looking at some opponents for him."

Warren insists that Parker vs Joyce will be held, despite the delay

He stated that "if our man wins, then it's on, we'll do the job, absolutely."

"It's not our fault. We wanted the fight, Joe wanted it.

"Unfortunately, it's Joe Parker who isn't available."
