Johnny Fisher reveals Chinese takeaway secret for Dave Allen rematch

Chinese takeaway comeback

British boxer Johnny Fisher is spilling the beans on his secret weapon for the upcoming rematch against Dave Allen. After abstaining from his beloved Chinese takeaway for six months before their last bout, Fisher is reintroducing it into his fight diet, believing it could give him the edge he needs.

Back to his roots

Despite his strict diet leading up to his last victory, Fisher is embracing his favourite weekend indulgence once again. The 26-year-old boxer shared, "I love a Chinese. Sometimes it ain't a bad thing on a Saturday night to have a big fuel up." Fisher is gearing up for the rematch on May 17 with this unique approach.

Fueling up with a feast

While Fisher refrained from Chinese food before his last fight, he now sees it as a welcome addition to his routine. He mentioned, "A bit of Chinese ain't gonna hurt you, do you know what I mean? Bit of chunk on you, it's not a problem." Fisher's dad, known as Big John, is also a fan of Chinese cuisine and has become a TikTok sensation for his love of the food.

Setting the record straight

Despite controversy in their previous match, Fisher is eager to prove himself in the upcoming rematch. After a close fight that ended in Fisher's favor, he is determined to settle the score definitively. Fisher's commitment to facing Allen again showcases his fighting spirit and determination to succeed in the ring.

Looking ahead

As the countdown to the rematch continues, Fisher remains focused on his training and preparation. Whether he emerges victorious once more or not, his post-fight celebration will undoubtedly involve his favorite Chinese takeaway. With his eyes set on the prize, Fisher is ready to step back into the ring and showcase his skills.
